Terms governing use of AfroStrategy accounts, publications, Premium content, Institutional Access and digital services.

These Terms govern use of AfroStrategy’s website, accounts, publications and digital services.
By using the platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and any additional terms that apply to a specific paid or institutional service.
The platform
AfroStrategy provides research, publications, analysis, user accounts, author profiles, newsletters, Premium access, Institutional Access and related research services.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity reasonably attributable to your account.
You must provide accurate information and must not impersonate another person or institution.
Accounts may not be used to bypass content-access restrictions.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, servers or protected files;
- interfere with website security or normal operation;
- circumvent paywalls, PDF protections or access gateways;
- share credentials in order to provide unauthorized access;
- distribute malware or exploit vulnerabilities;
- submit fraudulent institutional information;
- scrape or systematically extract protected content in violation of applicable law or these Terms;
- impersonate another user, author or institution; or
- use the platform for unlawful activity.
Publications and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, AfroStrategy, the relevant author or another identified rightsholder owns or controls the rights necessary to publish material on the platform.
Access to a publication does not automatically grant permission to republish, sell, translate, adapt or commercially redistribute it.

Free, Registered and Premium content
AfroStrategy may classify content as Free, Registered or Premium.
Registered content requires an eligible signed-in account.
Premium access is an entitlement associated with an eligible account or institution and may be time-limited.
Access controls do not transfer copyright ownership.
Institutional Access
Institutional access may be governed by approved domains, named users, seat allocations, access dates and additional written terms.
Institutional Administrators may manage eligible members but do not receive WordPress or platform-administrator privileges.
Payments
Paid access may be processed through WooCommerce and authorized payment gateways.
Prices, duration and applicable taxes or charges should be displayed during purchase or stated in the relevant institutional proposal.
Availability
We aim to maintain reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Maintenance, outages, third-party failures, security incidents or technical changes may temporarily affect services.
Research and information
AfroStrategy publications are provided for scholarly, educational, informational and analytical purposes.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, content is not personalized legal, financial, investment, medical or other regulated professional advice.
External services
The website may contain links, embeds, citations or services provided by third parties.
AfroStrategy does not control independent third-party services and is not responsible for their terms, security or availability.
Suspension and termination
AfroStrategy may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of fraud, security threats, unlawful use, repeated violations, payment reversal, access abuse, research-integrity misconduct or other serious misuse.
Changes
We may update these Terms as services evolve. The current version will be identified by the review date above.
